Jane A. Whalen

Vice President for Practice Management Services

Jane Whalen has twenty years of leadership and management experience in Physician Practice Management, concentrated in Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist services, and Housestaff services. She earned a Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey and completed her MBA at St. Joseph University in Pennsylvania. Jane began her career in healthcare with a start-up organization run by a sole proprietor, entrepreneurial physician. Most recently Jane was Regional COO for a large, national physician practice management organization and had operational responsibility for over 30 clients representing more than $75 million in revenue.

During her practice management career, Jane has been viewed by those she works with as clear-sighted and practical about important issues and the big picture. She is also sensitive and reasonable about both the clinical and business matters. Jane achieves creative solutions to problems and she:

• Effectively works with clients on customized strategies to successfully implement service plans
• Manages timely and professional recruiting, credentialing and staffing processes to ensure each client has a stable and reliable team of clinical providers
• Builds personal relationships with clients and physicians in order to provide exceptional customer services
• Successfully manages contract renewals and the ongoing financial relationships with clients and physicians
• Identifies and implements creative strategies to operationally support new service lines

Jane offers clients a combination of experience, creativity, attention to detail, and analytical skills to attain financial and contractual service goals, as well as to achieve practical solutions to business, management, and physician practice challenges.
