"Our hospital had a rudimentary Hospitalist service, but our Medical Staff and community wanted a more robust program to
support our growing needs. We looked to Clinical Colleagues to bring the expertise and resources required to achieve our
expectations of a fully functioning Hospitalist service. From the start, our admissions have increased, and at the end
of the first six months under CCI's management our case mix index for the Hospitalist patients improved 9%. CCI
has also exceeded its cash per encounter revenue projections. We have a strong Hospitalist Medical Director and a
stable team of high quality Hospitalists. CCI has earned our trust as a professional business partner."

When the CEO of Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, KS
first spoke with Clinical Colleagues, she was experiencing major problems with the anesthesia group. One
of the underlying issues was that the anesthesiologists reported to the CRNAs, which created a very dysfunctional
team. Another issue was that the leadership of the group was lacking in its ability to meet the service and
quality expectations of the hospital and surgeons.
Clinical Colleagues thoroughly assessed the surgical case types and volume to identify the right staffing
model to safely and efficiently support the OR, OB, and surgery center. We immediately identified an
experienced anesthesiologist to take the helm as the Chief of Service, and quickly recruited an experienced
Chief Anesthetist to add depth to the leadership team. We rebuilt the entire team of 14 anesthesia providers
with a focus on finding the right fit for the community and hospital culture. The final outcome was that
CCI and Hutchinson Regional quickly achieved a complete "reconstruction" of the anesthesia service and
continue to maintain a stable anesthesia team, while achieving core measures and quality management expectations.
